Face Piercings
Face piercing is a rather broad term. It includes lip piercing, eyebrow piercing, nose piercings, tongue piercing etc. Facial piercings have been common through out the cultures. It is common among some African tribes to pierce the lips of their women before wedding. Nose piercings are supposed to have originated in the Middle East around 4,000 years ago. Tongue piercings were common among the Mayans. Modern day facial piercings are more like the works of imaginative art and have not much to do with the tradition.
